Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach out if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The RICP® (Retirement Income Certified Professional®) designation signifies that a financial advisor has the depth of knowledge to deliver effective retirement income planning services to help individuals, like you, transition into retirement smoothly. RICP® advisors apply their specialized knowledge to develop strategies that encompasses Social Security optimization, tax-efficient approaches, longevity risk management, retirement income diversification and comprehensive financial planning.

A National Social Security Advisor (NSSA®) is a financial professional certified to provide specialized guidance on Social Security benefits. Through comprehensive training, NSSA® designees help individuals and couples navigate the complexities of Social Security, aiming to maximize their lifetime benefits and integrate them effectively into broader retirement plans. This expertise is particularly valuable for those approaching retirement, facing unique life circumstances, or seeking to optimize their Social Security strategies.

The IRMAA Certified Planner (IRMAACP™) designation is a professional certification for financial advisors focusing on managing Medicare's Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA). It equips professionals with expertise to help high-income retirees navigate, minimize, or appeal Medicare surcharges. The certification is recognized by FINRA.

Our team offers a range of services including Retirement Income Planning, Medicare/IRMAA Planning, Social Secuirty Planning/Optimization, Long Term Care, Business Succession Planning, Legacy Planning, and Ancillary Benefit Planning.

Our team is based in Florida; however, we are licensed and appointed in the majority of US States.

The amount of time depends on how simple or complex your situation is and which of our services you need.

  • Medicare Planning generally requires 2-3 meetings.
  • Business Succession planning generally requires 4 meetings.
  • Social Security Planning generally requires 2-3 meetings.
  • Income Planning generally requires 3-4 meetings.

Regardless of the number of meetings, I am available for service throughout the year and available for annual reviews.

The carriers that I represent pay me a commission; however, that does not influence what carriers I may recommend. All recommendations are based on your best interest and needs regardless if you decide to use my services or not. I purposefully do not own stock in any of the companies I represent to also remain objective. Please consider reading some reviews from current clients.

I offer both Medigap & Advantage Plans to help people find the correct Medicare coverage based on their needs. With that being said, I would generally recommend keeping Original Medicare & buying a Medigap Plan if you can afford too. A high deductible Supplement can be a great way to balance premiums with coverage.

An RICP is typically better suited for clients who are nearing retirement or already retired. For example, a 62-year-old planning to stop working in three years may need help deciding when to claim Social Security, how to draw down 401(k) and IRA balances, and how to plan for rising healthcare costs. An RICP is trained to focus on these income and longevity issues, making them valuable for clients whose main concern is turning savings into a reliable cash flow.

A CFP®, on the other hand, fits clients who need a broader financial roadmap. A 40-year-old professional may be juggling student loans, saving for a child’s education, investing for retirement, and considering life insurance. A CFP® can address all of these needs together and build a plan that balances long-term growth with present obligations.
